Logan, West Virginia The people that live in the Appalachian region of West Virginia are precious, hardworking people that are doing there very best to provide for their families in an impoverished environment. The collapse of the coal mining industry several years ago mean that many families struggle to secure the very basics to sustain life. The terrain is harsh. Industries and corporations fail to invest in the region leaving men and women without the opportunity to secure alternate employment. The mission of the ADC is to provide and support local families with food, education, services and manpower while meeting their basic needs so they can minister to their spiritual needs. Coming to the ADC will depend upon the skills that you can offer. There is much to be done! Painting, plumbing, building repairs, teaching literacy and computer skills, feeding hot meals to the elderly, giving boxes of food to families, the list goes on and on. But, we also take the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ to these hurting people, offering hope in a seemingly hopeless situation. That is why your participation is so very important!
